Computer Based Examination (CBE): Mandatory for all candidates.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST): Applicable only for Havaldar posts.
Computer Based Examination (CBE)
Structure: Two sessions (Session-I and Session-II) on the same day; both are mandatory.
Type: Objective-type, multiple-choice questions.
Languages: Hindi, English, and 13 regional languages (Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu).
Negative Marking: No negative marking in Session-I; 1 mark deduction per wrong answer in Session-II.
Duration: 45 minutes per session.
Normalization: Applied for multiple shifts as per SSC Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I (07-02-2019).
