Nationality:

  • Citizen of India, or
  • Subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or
  • Tibetan Refugee, or
  • Person of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Afghanistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam.

Scheme of MTS Examination

The SSC MTS Examination comprises:

  1. Computer Based Examination (CBE): Mandatory for all candidates.
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST): Applicable only for Havaldar posts.

Computer Based Examination (CBE)

  • Structure: Two sessions (Session-I and Session-II) on the same day; both are mandatory.
  • Type: Objective-type, multiple-choice questions.
  • Languages: Hindi, English, and 13 regional languages (Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu).
  • Negative Marking: No negative marking in Session-I; 1 mark deduction per wrong answer in Session-II.
  • Duration: 45 minutes per session.
  • Normalization: Applied for multiple shifts as per SSC Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I (07-02-2019).
