  • Upper Age Limit on Enrollment: 21 years.

Educational Qualification

Science Subjects

  • Intermediate/10+2: Passed with Mathematics, Physics, and English from an Education Board recognized by Central, State, or UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
  • OR Three-Year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, or Information Technology) from a Central, State, or UT-recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in the Diploma Course).
  • OR Two-Year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects (Physics and Mathematics) from State Education Boards recognized by Central, State, or UT with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in the Vocational Course).

Other Than Science Subjects

  • Intermediate/10+2: Passed in any subject approved by Education Boards recognized by Central, State, or UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Selection Process

The selection process for Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2026 includes the following stages:

    • Admit Card: Sent to registered email IDs 48–72 hours prior to the exam. Candidates must carry a color printout of the admit card and an original Aadhaar card.
  2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT) (Phase II):
    • Conducted at designated Airmen Selection Centres (ASCs).
    • PFT-I:
      • 1.6 km Run: Within 7 minutes (Male) or 8 minutes (Female).
    • PFT-II (after 10-minute break):
      • Male Candidates:
        • 10 Push-ups (1 minute)
        • 10 Sit-ups (1 minute)
