New Delhi: The Modi government launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in February 2019 to provide financial support and boost the income of farmers. Under this scheme, farmers receive ₹6,000 annually, disbursed in three installments of ₹2,000 every four months. So far, funds up to the 19th installment have reached farmers’ bank accounts. Now, millions of farmers are eagerly awaiting the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan 20th Installment).
₹2000 Next Installment Expected in June
Reports indicate that the next ₹2000 installment is expected in June. However, despite registration, many farmers may not receive the funds. If you haven’t completed certain mandatory tasks, the money will not be transferred to your account. It’s crucial to be aware of these issues in advance.
When Will the 20th Installment Be Released?
The 19th installment was disbursed on February 24, 2025. The government typically releases an installment every four months. Thus, the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana (PM Kisan 20th Installment) is anticipated in the third or fourth week of June. However, the official date for the PM Kisan 20th Installment Date has not yet been announced.
Why Won’t Some Farmers Receive ₹2000?
Approximately 9 crore farmers benefited from the 19th installment. A similar number is expected to receive funds this time, provided their details are accurate and updated. However, several farmers’ installments could be held up.
Even if you are registered under the scheme, your payment may be delayed. If your information is outdated or essential conditions remain unfulfilled, the PM Kisan Next Installment could be stalled. No e-KYC Means No Payment
The government has made it clear that no funds will be disbursed without e-KYC. If you haven’t completed your e-KYC yet, your installment could be delayed. Payments will not be processed without it. You can complete e-KYC online using an OTP or visit a nearby CSC center for biometric e-KYC via fingerprint.
Bank Account Issues Can Halt Funds
Often, installments fail to reach accounts due to unlinked Aadhaar, incorrect IFSC codes, or closed accounts. If your bank account isn’t linked to Aadhaar, the IFSC code is wrong, or the account is inactive, the transaction will fail. Even if the installment is released, the money won’t reach you. Update your bank details on the PM Kisan portal or at your bank.
Unverified Land Records Can Delay Payment
Your land-related documents must be updated and verified on the PM Kisan portal. If you’ve submitted incorrect or incomplete documents, your name could be removed from the list, and you won’t receive the funds. Installments may also be withheld for farmers whose land documents are not uploaded or verified. The government is now identifying and excluding farmers using fraudulent documents.
Farmer Registry Now Mandatory
Registration on the PM Kisan portal alone isn’t enough anymore. You must also register in your state government’s Farmer Registry. Visit a CSC center or your state’s agriculture portal to complete this, as it’s now a prerequisite for receiving benefits.
No Name on the List Means No ₹2000
Some farmers get excluded from the list without realizing it. Check your status on pmkisan.gov.in by clicking “Beneficiary List,” selecting your state and district, and verifying your inclusion. If your name is on the PM Kisan Beneficiary List, you’ll receive the ₹2000 20th installment; if not, you won’t.
